I’m an avid fan of the Korean
series entitled “The Heirs” and one
of the lead actors of this series is “Le Min
Ho” (my super duper crush.heheh).
There’s a scene in the second episode where the teacher asked his students,
what is the most beautiful English word in the world? Some students answered
rainbow, flowers and unicorns. They haven’t guessed the word took the first
place. The British Council conducted a survey of 102 non-English speaking countries
about what was the most beautiful English word in the world. The word took the
first place was “MOTHER”. Second through fifth places were: PASSION, SMILE, LOVE AND ETERNITY.
We all have our own mothers. They’ve
sacrificed a lot to carry us from their womb for nine months for us to see the
world. We call them Mama, Mommy, Mamita, Mamu, Mamsy, Nanay and etc. Whatever we
call them, they are our precious mothers..
My mother is the best Mama of the whole wide world. I call
her Mama. I’m the luckiest daughter in
the world that I have her as my Mama. If in the future I’ll be given a chance
to choose a mother, I’ll definitely still choose her as my mother and it will
be my honor to be her daughter.
She’s the most caring and loving
mother. She always thinks what are the best and good for me and to my siblings.
Supports me in whatever activities I get in to. Comfort me when I’m down.
Giving me encouraging words when I’m afraid to take the risks and assuring me
that whatever happens she’s still in my side. Advising me to always choose what is right.
Helped me to be whole again in the time when I was broken. And of course, she
let me know our very own creator, God. I remember when I was around five years
old. She wakes me up early every Sunday morning and brings me to church. She
taught me how to pray. She keeps telling me that when you pray, pray not only
for yourself. Pray for the goodness of your mama, papa, siblings, and relatives
and to other people who needs your prayer.
Her love is pure and unconditional.
Her love for our family is unconditional. She loves us more than anything else
in this world.
She’s the strongest Mama I’ve
ever known. When I was little, I don’t understand what she’s going through. I don’t
want to hear her stories. I hate it when she told her co-teachers or friends
her problems. And I hate her for that. But now, I can now feel and imagine what
she’s going through before. She wants someone to comfort her, to make her feel
that someone is in her side. And it breaks my heart that I wasn’t the right
person that time that she can tell all her problems. Thank you for staying
Mama. I admire you and thank you for everything you’ve done.
I know thank you is not enough Mama.
But from the bottom of my heart I thank you for everything. What I am today, it
is because of you. I love you mama.
Your Beautiful daughter,
Henny
